NAAM Yoga & Meditation

Naam Yoga Therapies is a form of healing meditation and yoga therapy that uses the combination of mudras and healing mantras in the form of spiritual meditation as a way to facilitate self healing. Breath of Fire

This yogic breath technique increases energy so you should not practice it before bedtime.  Breath of Fire purifies and detoxifies the blood.  Internal organs are massaged with the movement of the diaphragm and navel causing detoxification and toning all organs effected such as the Liver, Spleen, Stomach, intestines and Reproductive Organs.  Phlegm is expelled from the lungs so this is an extremely beneficial for those who may be suffering from Pneumonia and Bronchitis.  You can use any Mudra as you meditate with this yogic breath practice, Silver Triangle Mudra aids in increasing energy and vitality, and the Mudra for the Liver and Spleen is good to use if you suffer from any health issue caused by an imbalance in the Liver or Spleen.

You can Breath of Fire as you meditate, for as long as you?d like, anywhere from 3-11 minutes.  This yogic breath practice can be used in combination with any Mudra as you meditate.  Make sure to monitor how you feel to gauge the length that you practice this yogic breath technique.

Mul Mantra

Mul Mantra burns seeds of anything that is negative fate, opens your heart, and sends you straight into your destiny.  Mul Mantra is the root mantra containing 26 words. In numerology the number 2 is symbolic of duality, which is comprehended by the mind, and the number 6 is the number that relates to the heart where only oneness and unity exist; this mantra brings you from the head to the heart.  This mantra completely re-patterns your entire energy system.

Meditation Techniques:  You can meditate with this healing mantra for 1-11min. Meditate 40-120days for best results, the key is in consistant practice.

Guru Ram Das Mantra

The Guru Ram Das Mantra provides protection and healing to any physical, mental or circumstantial situations.This mantra is used to invoke spiritual guiding light, and can be used as a psychotherapeutic application to change one's mood. When you chant this mantra you are working with to neutralize the effects of the shadow side of the planet Uranus. Those who have the planet Uranus as one of their ruling planets have a tendency toward depression and high stress and can also be unlucky, unstable and restless.  When the tongue hits the roof of the mouth with much repetition the pituitary gland begins to secrete releasing endorphins in the brain. When we begin to think good we begin to feel good; when we feel good we can manifest and create miracles. Use this mantra also to invoke protection in your environment and to prevent disasters and accidents. You can play this mantra in your car or chant mentally as you drive or travel.

Meditation Techniques: You can meditate with this healing mantra as you meditate for 1-11min. Meditate 40-120days for best results, the key is in consistant practice.

Mudra to Reduce Anger

Our health is closely related to our emotional state. Anger can contribute to an imbalance in the function of the liver which can cause health problems that have to do primarily with digestion such as IBS and indigestion.  This mudra is a Naam Yoga Therapies self healing technique.

Meditation Techniques: You can use this mudra in meditation with sitali pranayam. Mudras can generally be practiced for any amount of time weather it is for 1 minute when you think of it at your desk at work, or if you choose to use it as you meditate, up to 30 minutes. The key is in frequent use to open up the energetic pathways.  You may use this Mudra as you meditate, with a Sitali Pranayam for best results. Meditate for 1-11 minutes.

Ra Ma Da Sa Mantra

The Ra Ma Da Sa Mantra is the universal healing mantra. This mantra brings balance to the entire body on every level. It contains the eight sounds that stimulate Kundalini to flow in the central channel of the spine and the spiritual centers. These sounds balance the five zones of the left and right hemispheres of the brain to activate the neutral mind. Through practice of this mantra the nervous system, muscular system and the cells in the blood, work in conjunction with one another to receive this healing vibration, thus triggering the rebuilding process. This mantra, can purify the aura and consolidate your mental projection into a one pointed positivity towards yourself and your health. Use the Ra Ma Da Sa mantra to heal, and to maintain balance and health.

Meditation Techniques: Meditatate for 1-11min. 40-120 days.

Cold Prevention Meditation

The combination of breath and mudra in this meditation will overall increase the body?s ability to have a stronger immune system and can be used regularly to maintain health or can be used as an emergency defense technique the moment that you feel the symptoms (of sickness )of a cold coming on. This is a simple meditation which can be done regularly to help strengthen your immune system; 7 cycles takes less than five minutes. If you feel the symptoms of sickness coming on stop what you are doing and do this meditation immediately, don?t wait even 5 minutes after you start to feel the symptoms of a cold.

Buddhi Kriya Mudra

Buddhi Kriya Mudra helps communication come from the heart.  The pinky finger relates to the energy of the planet Mercury and strengthens our ability to communicate.  Working with the energy of the planet Mercury can also help you if you feel that you have a hard time being yourself because it will help you to be in your own energy and to be comfortable with who you are.

Use Buddhi Kriya Mudra to prevent ailments of the heart including heart attacks.  You can also work with this mudra to soothe the nervous system and to help sleep issues.

Emotions are linked to physical health and well-being.  Emotions such as anger, resentment and irritability can cause such an imbalance in the health of a liver such as colitis, indigestion, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, dry eyes, and dizziness.

Excessive worry can effect the function of your spleen which can cause health problems that primarily have to do with poor digestion and low energy.

Problems with the skin or blood can also come from an imbalance in the liver and spleen.  You can use this mudra with Sitali Pranayam if skin or blood problems exist.

Raj Kriya Mudra

Raj Kriya Mudra can be used to neutralize the effects of depression and negativity and to revitalize the brain.  You can use this mudra to work on or to avoid lung disorders such as asthma or respiratory disease.  If you are working with this mudra as a meditation to heal the body you can chant it with the mantra: Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung (Video Coming Soon to Yoga Health & Healing), slowly for 3-11 minutes.  You can also use this mudra as you meditate for 3-11 minutes to repatern worrisome thoughts with the mantra: Wahe Guru Wahe Jio which is chanted quickly 5 times in one exhalation.

Self Love Mudra

Self-Love Mudra awakens the healing power of love within you. Work with love to neutralize any negative belief systems that are associated with  the head or mind such as the inability to have wealth, abundance, and successful relationships, business or otherwise.  As you begin to love yourself the gates of success will open for you.

If you are meditating with this mudra you can chant the mantra I AM, I AM chanted aloud or silently.  The mantra I AM, I AM helps to awaken our connection to our true nature which will ultimately awaken love within our heart.

Surya Kriya Mudra

Surya Kriya Mudra helps to remove sadness.  The meridian for the triple burner starts at the tip of the ring finger.  This meridian is used in Chinese medicine and acupuncture to create balance in the body. The triple burner is not an organ, it describes a function in the body that regulates water metabolism and energy dispersal throughout the body.

There are three areas in the body that the triple burner meridian covers; upper, middle, and lower sections of the torso. Disease usually stems from an imbalance of energy in an organ or organ systems.  You can use this mudra to work on any and all organs, this is the mudra that you can do if you don?t know which organ or organ systems a health problem is coming from.

Shuni Kriya Mudra

The paricardium meridian ends at the tip of the middle finger.  The paricardium is recognized by traditional acupuncture as the membrane around the heart and liver, therefore, you can work with this mudra to improve health problems associated with the heart (such as heart disease), the chest, and the liver.  Use this mudra if you experience heart palpitations, tightness or heaviness in the chest or heavy breathing.  The paricardium must be strong for a healthy heart.  You can also work with Shuni Kriya Mudra to remove anger and to work with imbalances associated with the liver such as colitis, indigestion, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, dry eyes, and dizziness.

Silver Triangle Mudra

As you meditate with the Silver Triangle Mudra mudra you say the Prayer of Love Peace and  Light combined with Three Point Breath (Inhale as you silently say the prayer of love, hold the breath as you say the prayer of peace and exhale as you say the prayer of light).

You may also choose to combine Silver Triangle Mudra as you meditate with either the mantra: Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung (Video Coming Soon to Yoga Health & Healing) for self healing OR with the Guru Ram Das Mantra.  When we chant the Guru Ram Das Mantra the pituitary gland begins to release endorphins which effect the brain allowing one to become more happy; health is improved when we are happy.  This is also a great mudra to use with the Breath Of Fire to clean and strengthen the blood by burning away impurities.

Silver Triangle Mudra protects and strengthens our life-force and can help you to rebuild strength and energy.  This mudra helps one to regain lost vitality, strengthen the immune system and speed up healing. If you have been sick for a  long time, silver triangle can give the body strength to recover and recuperate from sickness, surgery, injury and anything that makes you weak.

Long Slow Deep Breathing

Long Slow Deep Breathing is a simple yogic breath practice that is extremely beneficial for any problems associated the Lungs such as Asthma or Emphysema.  It is also excellent for  anyone with, Hormone Imbalance, Anxiety, High Blood Pressure or Heart Disease, or for Stress or Stress related disorders. 

With continued practice, over time, when your lung capacity increases your pituitary gland will begin to secrete, activating the intuitional powers of the mind to increase.

Practice Long Slow Deep breathing on its own or with any Mudra, especially mudras working with internal organs.  You can use this yogic breath technique as you meditate, for as long as you?d like, anywhere from 3-11 minutes. Make sure to monitor how you feel to gauge the length that you practice this yogic breath technique.

Royal Kriya Mudra Series

The Royal Kriya Mudra Series brings balance to the emotions; our emotional state effects the state of our physical health.

This mudra series works on all of the meridians which effects the flow of energy to the brain and to many organs in the body.  You can also use this mudra series when you travel to help with jet lag by bringing your systems into balance.

We suggest that you begin by practicing this Mudra series for 10 minutes, one minute with each finger.  Eventually, if you?d like, you can make your way up to 30 minutes, 3 minutes with each finger.  If you can?t Sleep, have Anxiety, Worries, Stress or Depression, practice this Mudra series with Long Slow Deep Breathing >to bring your Nervous System into balance.  You can also practice with Three Point Breath to calm your emotions.  The Royal Kriya Mudra Series can also be used while chanting any Mantra, or with the mantra: Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung (Video Coming Soon to Yoga Health & Healing); done slowly up the scale, to invoke a healing effect in the body.

Sitali Pranayam

Sitali Pranayam is used to cool the body.  You can use this breath to reduce a fever or to cool off when the body is  overheated.  Sitali Pranayam can be used to improve conditions in the body that have to do with inflammation such as psoriasis and arthritis.

You can also use Sitali Pranayam to work on any health condition that is caused by an imbalance in the liver such as colitis, indigestion, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, dry eyes, and dizziness.  Sitali Pranayam can also be used for any imbalance caused by the spleen such as tiredness, lack of energy, and poor digestion.
